Glenna and Diane started their work today with a pair of Zambian Dental Therapists, checking the teeth of all of the students at Lifesong School, and doing the necessary dental work. As you can see, the work environment is slightly different than at home!
The day started with "Opening Ceremonies" to which the District Medical Officer of Health was invited, and ZNBC (Zambian National Broadcasting Corporation) was present filming! We are going to watch for ourselves on television later this week.

ReplyDeletegreetings from Bremen, Germany, we are back at home,in Emtinghausen. We are resting today, it is really, really hot in Germany and most people are not used to this kind of weather. There was a small Tornado in,on Helgoland which is an island that was an hour and a half away from Buesun, the Northsea cost city we stayed in. We were on our way to the beach as the sky grew dark and the wind started to pick up like crazy, a man came to us and told us we needed to go home or find a pub to stay in, during the storm. We were lucky that ou hotel was only 5 min. away and 5 min. later we were watching the storm from the window in our rooms.However, we had a great time and as we can see you are all working hard and enjoy the great people you meet.I just showed my mom all of the pictures and she smiled and was so proud that you all give so much of youself to everyone around you and that everyone in Zambia is doing the same to make you feel at home in their country.
